The 2025 Rogaining World Championships were held last weekend, July 5-6. A very tough 24-hour non-stop race, where participants covered over 100 km and much more elevation gain!
In the open men’s (MO) category and also in the overall classification, the champions were the internationally flagged SYMT team, formed by Maxim Tsvetkov and Semen Yakimov, with 5,530 points and a time of 23:59:23. Second place went to the Estonian team LA SPORTIVA / TEAM KAITSEVÄGI, formed by Sannder Linnus and Timmo Tammemäe, with 5,310 points and a time of 23:54:49. And third place went to the Latvian team ŠMAUDERS, formed by Karlis Lauders and Guntis Šmaukstelis, with 4,850 points, and a closing time of 23:54:32.
In the open mixed category (XO) (and continuing in the overall standings as fourth, fifth, and sixth), the champions were the Estonian team SEIKLUSTE SELTS, formed by Silver Eensaar and Helen Jürjo, with 4,430 points, and a closing time of 23:52:07. They were also champions in the Veteran Mixed category (XV). In second place was the Ukrainian team MIMISHNI POPENZLYUYCHYKY, formed by Dariia Bodnar and Bodhan Vorobets, with 4,410 points, and a closing time of 23:39:40. And in third place was the Ukrainian team NO PROBLAMA, formed by Yevhenii Bryndak and Nataliia Frolova, with 4,390 points and a time of 23:41:20.
Finally, in the open women’s (WO) category, the champions were the internationally-flagged team WALKING IN THE WOODS, formed by Ekaterina Petukhova and Anna Shliapnikova, with 3,750 points and a time of 23:44:49. In second place was the Spanish team XCOCX, formed by Mónica Aguilera Viladomiu and Roser Español Bada, with 3,720 points and a time of 23:16:39. And in third place was the Australian team TWO BANANA DAY, formed by Shelley Bambrook and Elizabeth Dornom, with 3,660 points and a time of 23:40:18.
