  • Competition tracking: on this page it will be possible to track the GPS of the WRC and the results of both races, which will be updated during the competition.
  • Parking closure: from the start of the map distribution (09 AM) until the start of the WRC (12 PM) no cars will be allowed to leave the competition center parking lot.
  • Disclaimer and authorization: it is reminded that in order to participate it is mandatory to sign the disclaimer and, in the case of minors, the corresponding authorization.
  • Map and GPS distribution: it is mandatory to present the bib. A representative of the team can pick-up the maps, not requiring the presence of the whole team for this task.
  • Canine rescue protocol: at the end of the map distribution corridor, a gauze will also be handed out to perform a scent sample, which would be used in case of emergency by the Canine Rescue and Rescue Unit “Ucas de Arrate”.
    • The gauze will only be given personally to each runner to avoid contamination.
      • To speed up the map collection process, a representative of the team may collect the map and the rest of the team will wait at the end to collect the gauze.
    • The gauze should be placed in a trouser pocket or between the pants and the waist. Do not insert it in any other place.
    • The gauze should remain there for at least 1 hour.
    • The gauze must be delivered personally by each runner to the canine unit in the (07) GPS Delivery area between 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM.
  • Reminder Rule B14: “No food or equipment shall be left on the course before the event for a team’s use, and no food or equipment shall be discarded on the course unless retrieved by the team during the event and brought by the team with them to the finish. Any compulsory gear must be carried at all times.”
  • Fun Rogaine: maps will be distributed half an hour before the start (02 PM) and bibs can be picked up at the secretary’s office (check opening times in the official event schedule). There is no mandatory material.
  • Reminder of prohibition of use of smart watches: according to the decision of the IRF committee “Carrying of other navigational aids, including GPS devices, mobile phones, computer devices of any type, pedometers and altimeters on the course is prohibited.”. Therefore, all watches with GPS, tracking and altitude functions MUST follow the same protocol as with cell phones: they will be placed in a bag sealed by the organizers. It is of interest to note that the GPX track can be downloaded from the GPS tracking page of the event. Organizers may check equipment at any time during the race, before or after.

  • Equipment check: opens at 11:15 AM. Briefing will occur at 11:45 AM.
